Fylde Coast Replacement Taxis was started by an ex-cabbie who'd been through the accident process himself, and knew how badly the trade was being served. Fifteen years on, that's still who we are.
Who are Fylde Coast Replacement Taxis?
A Fleetwood-based taxi accident management and credit hire company, supporting the taxi industry since 2010. We supply like-for-like licensed replacement cabs to taxi drivers across the Fylde Coast after non-fault accidents.
We do one thing, and we do it for one type of customer: we get taxi drivers who've had a non-fault accident back on the road, fast.
That focus is deliberate. Most accident-management firms treat a cab like any other car. A taxi off the road is wage stopping with a licence to protect, a meter and plate to transfer and a licensing authority to satisfy before you can take a single fare. We understand all of that because the business was founded by a driver, and to this day most of our team have driven cabs themselves.
Fifteen years on the Fylde Coast
Since 2010 we've built our reputation the only way that lasts in the cab trade: by word of mouth. We work for individual owner-drivers, for taxi firms placing their whole fleet with us, and for insurance brokers who want a specialist they can trust with their taxi-trade clients.
From our base at Copse Road in Fleetwood we work the Fylde Coast and not much beyond it. That is deliberate: it means we know the licensing offices, we know the trade, and we can have a cab with you in the time it takes someone else to answer the phone.

Three licensing authorities, all within a short drive of the depot. It means we already know the offices, the testing requirements and the paperwork, and it means a replacement can be with you in hours rather than days. If you work just outside that and you're not sure, ring and ask.
Your accident, your claim, your choice
This is the part most drivers don't know: after a non-fault accident, the at-fault driver's insurer will often try to tell you that you must use their repairer, their hire car and their solicitor. That simply isn't true. By law, you are entitled to choose your own repair centre, replacement vehicle and solicitor. Choosing us costs you nothing. We recover every penny from the insurer responsible.
